Inspired by the ancient heritage of the Indus Valley Civilization, I find myself drawn to the strength of the feminine forms that emerge from its relics. Discovering the presence of goddesses among its artifacts sparked a deeper reflection on the enduring trail of women, their presence staged and etched into history till this time. We may never fully know the hopes, fears, and challenges women face. Their stories remain shrouded in mystery, their truths whispered through clay, stone, wheat, breed or left buried in silence. The entity we call “woman” often remains undefined, to the world, and at times, even to herself. Through my work, I honour this mystery. I salute the strength, grace, transformation and resilience of women across time. There is a timeless thread that binds us, reaching back to an origin we cannot fully understand. In that legacy, we women remain an …Enigma!
