“From Behind the Breaths of the Silk Flower” is the title of my upcoming show in Lahore, Pakistan, featuring pieces from the collections “Rough Winds” and “Word/Meaning,” all of which have been created with and on paper. The traditional aesthetics of Iran, especially during the Islamic period, which focuses on decoration as an inseparable part of the structure of the work, has been my greatest source of inspiration for these pieces. From this perspective, these collections continue my long-standing interest in this field.

By placing, layering, and removing parts of my work, I follow a path similar to that of an archaeologist, and through the shifting and adding or subtracting layers, my understanding and perception of the environment is formed. Therefore, I consider my works, at any given time, more like an autobiography that engages in a dialogue with both the past and the present, inviting the viewer to experience getting close, seeing, and touching
